The purpose of the Inter-Club is to promote interaction and the exchange of ideas and programs between Kiwanis clubs and to enhance fellowship and service. To encourage Inter-Clubbing, and recognize clubs actively participating, the following award will be presented during the 2025 Mid-Year conference.
KY-TN DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S INTER-CLUB EXCELLENCE AWARD (Form required)
Awarded to all clubs meeting the following criteria:
Complete 18 Inter-Clubs (in person or virtual).
Inter-Club with every club in the home Division.
Inter-Club with at least one Service Leadership Program
Aktion Club,
Builder’s Club,
K-Kids, Key Club
Circle K
Participation by at least 25% of active* club members.
Inter-Club outside of your division (may include Inter-Club at KY-TN Mid-Year Conference, KY-TN District Convention or the Kiwanis International Convention).
*Active Member refers to a paid member in good standing.
To receive the KY-TN District Governor’s Inter-Club Excellence Award, the club president and Inter-Club chairman must complete the Certification Form documenting the above criteria, and mail to:
KY-TN District Office, PO Box 4327 Lexington, KY 40544. The Certification Form must be postmarked by October 31, 2024.
Guidelines
An official Inter-Club occurs when a minimum of three (3) members from clubs with membership of 39 or less or a minimum of four (4) members from clubs with 40 or more members, visits another club for a scheduled meeting or other event ( in person or virtually).
If less than the minimum number of club members is present for an Inter-Club the current KY-TN Governor, KY-TN Governor Elect, KY-TN Vice-Governor, KY-TN Secretary/Treasurer, KY-TN Lt. Governor, past KY-TN Governor, International Officers or Trustee, if present, can be counted.
Only one substitute for a club member may be used at any event, but may not be used should only one club member attend an Inter-Club.
SLP inter- clubs not to exceed one per month.
Please note that the number of members required is based on membership totals as of October 10, 2023, per Kiwanis International.
