2023-2024 Newsletter Contest

Contest Period: October 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 Submission by July 15^th.

Each KY-TN Kiwanis club is encouraged to send a club newsletter to their members as a source of Kiwanis communication.

The Contest quarters are the following:

Oct-Nov-Dec

Jan-Feb-March

April-May-June

July-Aug-Sept

To be considered in the judging, a club needs to send one printed newsletter from each contest quarter (a total of 3 newsletters*) to the District Office. Submissions must be received by July 15^th. First and second place winners will be awarded. Newsletters will be judged for criteria qualification by a committee.

Prejudging criteria:

• Is it easy to read, attractive and interesting?
• Does it contain items of Club, Division, District and International interest?
• Does it have a good format?

• Does it recognize club achievement?
• Does it use current Kiwanis branding? (Logo, color, and font)
• Does it use photos effectively?

Is it so designed that it can carry out its three most important functions?

1. Maintain member morale and enthusiasm
2. Encourage meeting attendance
3. Inform the membership fully on club activities and projects
